As part of the overall transition plan, Early Life Support(ELS) period must be defined and agreed with all stakeholders (the entry and exit criteria). Early Life Support period starts at service commencement (go-live) and runs for a specified period as agreed with the Client. The main objective of ELS is to facilitate stabilization during steady state. This period gives opportunity to address open items, issues, hinderances , challenges and queries if any, as well as to provide appropriate KPIs performance measurements of the security and compliance system components.
This involves the transition team, Client SMEs ,Service Delivery Team and information security teams who work together to closely monitor the established Information Security And Compliance Framework to aid achievement of agreed security measures in the Service Delivery Organization and the Client business. The Information Security And Compliance Lead must take a call if the Roles And Responsibilities Matrices needs to be updated. Also, lessons learnt must be updated if required.
Security breaches and incidents will continue to be monitored and assessed during this period and this performance will provide a key input to the acceptance criteria to sign-off Early Life Support period.
At the end of the Early Life Support period, there must be a checkpoint to confirm completion of Early Life Support and transfer of controls to operational steady state. Ongoing support from Client SME’s will therefore come to an end at this time. Once the Early Life Support period concluded the transfer of controls to the Run team is initiated. All relevant stakeholders must be kept informed on the progress of the Early Life Support. |
